Processing of Personal Data – Advocacy Campaigns and Newsletters

The personal data is used to conduct analyses for customer insights and to communicate with relevant third parties such as authorities and politicians. What personal data do we collect?

When you subscribe to newsletters or participate in any of our advocacy campaigns, we collect the following personal data: contact information and, if applicable, your opinions.

How do we use your personal data and how long do we store it?

We may use your personal data for the following purposes: to influence politicians with respect to the issue related to the advocacy campaign, to communicate with you, including sending newsletters, and to invite you to participate in other surveys. Personal data processed for advocacy campaigns is stored for the duration of the campaign and for an additional period of twelve (12) months. Personal data processed for newsletter distribution is retained for as long as necessary to send newsletters or until you request removal from the subscription list.

Do we share or transfer your personal data?

We may share your personal data within our group of companies and with relevant external parties such as authorities and politicians. We may also share any free-text responses you provide, but only after anonymizing them. We may transfer, store, and process your personal data outside the EU. In applicable cases, such transfers will be conducted in accordance with relevant data protection legislation.

What rights do I have?

You have the right to exercise your rights under relevant data protection legislation, including the right to request an extract of your personal data that we process and the right to lodge a complaint with a local supervisory authority. Your consent and legal basis for processing personal data

Participating in our advocacy campaigns is voluntary. By clicking “Sign” within the advocacy campaign or “subscribe” to receive newsletters, you consent to participating in our advocacy campaign or subscribing to our newsletter and to sharing your personal data and opinions with relevant politicians and authorities as described in the Processing of Personal Data – Advocacy Campaigns and Newsletters and the Privacy Policy. The legal basis for processing personal data for the purposes described in the Processing of Personal Data – Advocacy Campaigns and Newsletters is legitimate interest, as the processing is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interest in conducting advocacy campaigns regarding the products we sell from time to time.
